- Landscaping
- Keep lawn edged, cut, and watered
- Trim hedges, prune trees
- Place potted seasonal flowers near the front entrance
- Sweep sidewalks
- Exterior
- Install clearly readable, elegant house numbers
- Check foundation, steps, and walkways for cracks
- Inspect doors and windows for peeling paint
- Clean and straighten gutters
- Replace damaged roof shingles
- Apply a fresh coat of paint to the front door
- Interior
- Replace cracked floors and/or counter tiles
- Patch holes in walls
- Replace burned-out bulbs
- Fix doors that don’t close cleanly (including cabinets)
- Fix or replace leaky faucets
- Replace damaged windows
- Switch outdated appliances
- Cleaning
- Clean walls thoroughly
- Wash windows inside and out
- Re-caulk, showers, tubs, and sinks
